What You’ll Get to Do:


Responsible for providing analytical support under minimal supervision. Performs research, analysis, and data management updates as needed in support of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC). Scope of duties includes integration of the commands training requirements into a resource model that supports the Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) process. Conducts functional analysis of management and training problems and constraints and designs mathematical equations which offer viable solutions and impacts of alternative courses of action. Knowledge in the analysis and evaluation of programs and issues related to manpower, materiel modernization, long-term and short-term strategic planning and resourcing requirements, to include doctrine, organization, training, material, leadership & education, personnel, facilities, and policy. (DOTMLPF-P).

More About the Role:

  • TRM/ITRM related resource management tasks. Supports budget analysis and requirements review for P2 and P11 funds. Support budget distribution, BLTM/CLTM updates, and execution of funding. Develops SOF unique requirements, BLTMs and CLTMs.

  • Responsible for the compilation of data, and preparation of inputs into larger reports.

  • Performs assessments and projections as part of analysis process.

  • Develops technical reports and briefings, and other finished products.

  • Interfaces with external entities to collect data.

  • Uses and/or develops computer tools to facilitate analysis tasks.

  • Works collaboratively with other analysts as well as subject-matter experts in all phases of research and requires the flexibility to adapt research strategies to take into account data limitations and time constraints.

  • Analyzes data, system operations, methods, inputs/outputs, and activities in order to identify gaps in resources and recommend improvements along with coordinating activities to produce a more effective program.

  • Prepares and presents technical briefings to the customer.

  • May be required to train customer personnel in analysis methods and/or findings.


You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Budget programming or analytical experience working with large data files and maintaining quality control.

  • Experience in military unit training, military institutional (schoolhouse) training, and/or academic performance which demonstrate the aptitude to grasp and digest complex concept related to these disciplines.

  • Working knowledge of Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and PPBE process.

  • Advanced level use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).

Education: Requires a bachelor’s degree or 10 years’ experience.

Security Clearance: Secret Level Clearance at time of award with subsequent ACCM access


These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Advanced level of knowledge and expertise with Army TRM and ITRM training financial models preferred.

  • Army Special Operations (ARSOF) experience preferred.

  • Army budget experience preferred.
