Sr. Equipment Maintenance Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Sr. Equipment Maintenance Technician has critical areas of responsibility. Installs, maintains and repairs machinery/equipment following: specifications, manuals, schematic/pneumatic drawings, and established procedures using hand tools and other necessary equipment. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, committed to safety for self and the team, hungry to learn and make improvement, possess a high standard for quality and process compliance, and be a team player. Experience in electronic manufacturing equipment preferred. Examples: SMT assembly equipment, die mount, wire bonding, crystal processing equipment, temperature cycling test chambers, etc…

* Provide maintenance, electrical and mechanical support to production teams by troubleshooting equipment. Understand the instrumentation and perform repairs as needed.

* Respond to daily equipment trouble calls in a timely manner.

* Troubleshoot and evaluate equipment performance issues on all levels of electro-mechanical equipment (fully automated to manual). Deductive reasoning skills are critical to success in this role.

* Maintain and execute assigned Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks. Work closely with Production and Manufacturing Engineering to minimize impact of scheduled or non-scheduled maintenance activities. Suggest changes to PM frequency and/or tasks performed during each scheduled PM event.

* Assist in tracking equipment downtime and trouble history.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and high temperature firing furnaces. Job duties are often preformed in area where hazardous chemicals are present.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to enter and perform duties in the clean room.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are flexible Monday through Friday.

Required Education and Experience

1. Relevant experience in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC environments.

2. 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment,

3. Read, Write, and Verbally communicate in English

4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 -75,000 per year
