PURPOSE OF JOB:

Class Valuation is looking for a talented and experienced Sr. I.T. System Engineer to join our rapidly expanding company located in Troy, MI. This role is perfect for a highly experienced and proactive IT with outstanding system administration skills who thrives on being a leader and is passionate about building security hardening solutions. Lead IT projects on various scales like planning IT for new buildings, implementing new technologies within the company, managing authorization, authenticating access, standardizing IT, and more. Handle security alerts, business-critical IT tasks, and systems administration. Create architectural and design solutions to deploy and implement in the IT infrastructure. Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot our global IT & cloud infrastructure tools and services. Provide support and maintenance to all users and devices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Tasks:

· At least 5 years of experience in System Admin/IT/Security

· Hands-on experience with Azure / Active Directory

· Hands-on experience with Citrix / VDI

· Support Digital workspace – Hosted Company Intranet

· Hands-on experience with VOIP solutions

· Experience & solid understanding of cloud architecture, platforms, and tools

· Experience with endpoint security tools

· Assist Sr Director & Director of IT with security incident response and remediation

· Develop, execute, and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure, and computer systems

· Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain infrastructure software and hardware

· Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures

· Support and assist the company’s information security strategy

· Educate and train staff on information system security best practices

· Assist Sr. Director & IT Director with due diligence requests and audits

· Implement best practices in all systems

· Monitoring and managing all installed systems and infrastructure

· Establish, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools

· Act as third-level support for the helpdesk

· Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions

· Determining the best solution based on the issue and details provided

· Provide accurate information on IT products or services

· Record events and problems and their resolution in logs

· Follow-up and update customer status and information

· Identify and suggest possible improvements to procedures

· Training and guiding Help Desk Technicians with their work

· Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

· Experience with Windows servers and basic networking

· Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP

· Experience with Cloud hosting such as Microsoft Azure

· Working knowledge of PowerShell

· Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products

· Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues

· Proficiency in English

· Excellent communication skills

· Customer-oriented and cool-tempered

· College Degree in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field

· Must be able to lift 50lbs

· Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional nights and weekends, and an on-call schedule.

The Senior I.T. System Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and administration of the Citrix virtual desktop system, as well as administration of other systems including but not limited to Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and VOIP systems. This role will act as project manager for security projects and assist the Sr. Director of IT with security and audits. The job will require some nights and weekend work for system maintenance and on-call support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
