Boeing Global Services is currently seeking a Senior-Level Structural Analysis Engineer to become part of the Boeing Converted Freighters (BCF) Team in Long Beach, CA .
In this role, you will develop and implement enterprise level approaches to structural and stability analysis and testing. The selected candidate will develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Candidates will investigate emerging technologies to develop future product designs to meet projected requirements. You will work with customers and regulatory agencies to develop certification standards and define processes that will ensure requirements are met. Team member will also review and approve certification results. This position works independently.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design. Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.
Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
Leads development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
Performs other duties as assigned.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

100% onsite
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (Long Beach, CA).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
10+ years’ experience in an engineering role.
10+ years’ experience leading engineers and/or engineering teams.
Experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and partnerships across functions.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10+ years’ experience in structural analysis.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+15 years' related work experience, Master+18 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
