Senior Manager Job at West Monroe
Our Mergers and Acquisitions Practice (M&A) is seeking a Senior Manager to join our rapidly growing team. In this dynamic role, you will work with our national M&A practice servicing both corporate and private equity clients, which includes leading functional (i.e. IT, HR, Sales, Marketing, Finance, etc.) and technology assessments during the due diligence phase and planning as part of the carve-out or merger integration transactions. Our M&A team includes a variety of seasoned, expert, and award-winning professionals.
You will be an integral part of our team, helping shape our team culture and participate in the entrepreneurial process of growing a team with triple digit growth (strategy formulation, recruiting, team building, practice development, etc.).
Senior Managers in our Mergers & Acquisitions practice have these primary responsibilities:
- Lead teams serving clients across industries (with specific capabilities in mergers & acquisitions), while demonstrating executive presence with C-level client counterparts
- Facilitate due diligence projects focused on identifying functional and technology strategy, organizational structures, and current state business processes and supporting technology
- Assess functional and technology investment strategies and compare respective operating models and organizational structures against leading practices and industry benchmarks
- Lead engagements teams on transaction advisory, guiding the team to prepare focused request lists and agenda, facilitating client reviews, and providing leadership over deliverables
- Manage project economics including: track project budgets, create and deliver invoices, and manage collection process
- Drive the development/enhancement of WMP’s M&A methodologies (diligence, planning, carve-out, etc.) and approaches to client delivery
- Coach and manage other consultants and actively participate in the performance review process
- Understand client strategy and investment priorities and turn those goals into concrete engagements and detailed proposals
- Initiate and lead business development meetings with prospective clients
- Create work plans, pricing estimates, and risk assessments for prospects
- Understand investment needs and requirements and help turn those goals into concrete engagements and detailed proposals
- Actively participate in recruiting and retaining top quality consultants
- Serve as an Account Manager on one or more accounts, responsible for working with the Account Director to define annual target revenue objectives, develop account growth plan and strategy, and track progress toward committed goals
- Build trusted client relationships to drive account growth and work with a cross-functional account team to identify and pursue expansion opportunities within an account
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of 8+ years managing complex operational and/or IT projects in one or more of the following industries: Software/Hi-tech, Healthcare, or Manufacturing & Distribution
- Strong project management methodology background, including schedule, scope, issue and risk management experience, change management, strategic planning and analysis
- Consulting firm and/or M&A (deal and carve-out/merger) experience preferred, but both not required
- Experience managing or analyzing P&L statements, and financial modeling skills to build and manage complex synergy and cash flow models related to M&A transactions a plus, but not required
- Experience managing an account / client relationship to grow presence and generate YoY account growth
- Candidates must be eligible to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to travel up to 50%
