ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Manage the manufacturing of products: Manage costs, schedules, and specifications in publishing systems (OxPub) at all stages. Review files, create print orders and deliver to supplier. Receipt advances, if required, and process inovices in system (OxPurchase)
  • Identify and resolve potential quality issues
  • Supervise print/bind process: Keep supplier updated with work assignments.
    Update systems with print supplier information in accordance with the global print supplier agreements
  • Supplier management responsibilities
    • Evaluate print supplier performance discrepancies and collaborate with supplier on solutions; escalate to manager if necessary
    • Update systems and costing stages prior to assignment.
    • Monitor OxPub ensuring all key dates are updated according to SLAs
    • Review supplier print orders for accuracy and completeness
    • Oversee and support manufacturing sourcing suppliers in various systems transactions, issue resolution and tasks:
    o Enter printer specifications in OxPub upon assignment ensuring all specs align with optimal output
    o Generate POs
    o Represent suppliers (both printers and manufacturing) at internal meetings
    o Approve invoices
    • Identify and resolve print supplier performance issues
    o Analyze and resolve product related problems in conjunction with print suppliers.
    o Remediate all faulty stock – initiate process and estimate cost and coordinate correction of stock with print supplier, stock planning and warehouse
  • Provide continuous guidance, support and training to expand supplier knowledge of products

ABOUT YOU

  • Knowledge/experience of litho and digital production processes
  • Knowledge of POD file set up and POD specific print requirements
  • High degree of attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proven ability to partner with third party service providers
  • Able to elicit information, ascertain root cause, and facilitate path to success.
  • Able to manage multiple and conflicting priorities and projects at once—possess good decisions on prioritization; and ability to monitor schedules and manage workflow
  • Relationship builder and ability to work with various internal stakeholders, up to manager level
  • Supplier performance management skills

Location: This role can be hybrid in Cary, North Carolina or New York, NY.

Salary: $46,550 - $69,825 dependent on skills and experience

GJC: I5 (for internal purposes only)
