Drax is looking for a Senior Reward Business Partner – North America, based in Houston or Monroe with the flexibility for hybrid working.

As a senior member of the Group Reward function, this role contributes to the development of the Groupwide Reward agenda and leads the implementation of it in North America (US and Canada). Responsible for developing the Reward plan for North America and is accountable for the delivery of all Reward activity in the region.

We are in search of a highly trusted and effective business partner to senior leadership teams in the US and Canada and the respective HR Directors.

The role would be reporting to the Reward Director based in UK.

About the Role

  • Partner with the Group Reward Director to contribute to the company wide Reward Strategy, and be responsible for the implementation for the North America business
  • Builds strong, trusted and effective relationships with senior leadership in North America and across HR. Provide specialist input across a full spectrum of Reward (Compensation and Benefits) matters and designs and delivers effective solutions that meet the needs of the North American business
  • Is the Company’s subject matter expert on all aspects of Reward in North America
  • Work with the HR Directors of the North American business areas on annual benefits broking and renewals
  • Work with the Company Secretary team to manage and administer the ongoing all employee share programmes
  • In partnership with Group Reward Director will lead on M&A activity from a Reward perspective along with being the lead on all restructuring initiatives

About You

Extensive experience across all areas of Reward gained in large and complex organizations with multiple stakeholders (including matrix relationships)

  • 10 - 12 years plus experience in Rewards (compensation and Benefits) with the last 3 – 4 years in a Senior / Head of Rewards role in a private sector organization, having led established functions and teams.
  • SME for all areas of Reward for US and Canada (rewards, pension plans, share plans, benefits and more)
  • Working knowledge of US regulations is essential whilst experience working in Canada good to have
  • Proven experience of transforming Group policy into local proposals/concepts and turns them into practical reality
  • Challenge and influence stakeholders at senior levels effectively in a healthy approach
  • Able to work in a fast-paced organization going through extensive change
  • The role may require some travel and hence the candidate should be flexible to travel
