QUESTIONS
Coordinates and monitors the activities of vendor(s) performing construction of reclaimed reservoir and major transmission lines and/or locating/marking utility services in accordance with industry standards and/or state regulations. Coordinates work schedules, documents work performed, inspects work for accuracy, performs daily checks of reservoir, conformance and timeliness, reconciles/approves monthly invoices exceeding $50,000, sets up and maintains paper and electronic files, to include, data entry to multiple software programs, provides/updates electronic maps (Atlas Maps) for vendor use and maintains inventory as required. Sets up and maintains files and updates actions on department computer database. Assist and oversees computerized maintenance work order system for water and RCW. Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Water/Reuse assets associated with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Assembles information for managerial use. Performs related work as required.
- Knowledge of business English, spelling, and punctuation.
- Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
- Ability to email, compose letters and memoranda.
- Ability to make decisions in accordance with the departmental rules, regulations, and policies.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, utilities management, and vendors.
- Knowledge of Utility systems components, reservoir construction, and waterline construction, Operations protocol, inventory control procedures, and invoice reconciliation against internally generated tracking system.
- Ability to operate a computer, a working knowledge of Windows based programs, Outlook, Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
PHYSICAL SKILLS: Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and also push or pull heavy objects. May use a handling device (dolly, cart, etc.) or work with another team member to lift and/or move excessively heavy objects. Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication. Ability to perform field work outdoors, Ability to frequently bend, climb, stoop, squat, and walk.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Associate degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years' of secretarial/clerical and typing experience OR graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma and four (4) years' experience. Experience with Utilities based contract documents and follow up requirements preferred.
In House Candidates: This position qualifies for DAP.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida driver's license. Class B CDL is preferred.
