Summary: Analyst position supports the Kroger Sales Teams


The Senior Sales Analyst will serve as a key constituent to internal team members (Customer Sales Executives), HSY Salty Snacks management & external customers; Core responsibilities include,but are not limited to demonstrating tactical excellence through the pervasive use of retailer and syndicated data sources to provide category and sales insights. The Analyst will engage in key activities with customers to drive distribution, Omni-channel analytics, and space expansion initiatives in order to drive incremental sales growth opportunities.


Responsibilities / Tools Include but are not limited to the following:


  • Proactive development and engagement in long term strategic projects to achieve Kroger and Hershey’s financial objectives (e.g. Joint Business Plans, Omni-channel strategy), distribution expansion, pricing and promotion analytics, retail sales team reporting, reporting of new item performance, competitive analysis, and assist in developing customer sales materials.

  • Act as the indispensable partner to the Customer Sales Executive (Salty Snacks), providing insights and analysis to drive the Kroger/Hershey Joint Business Plan. Proactively learn the business and trends related to both Hershey and competitors to isolate potential growth opportunities for Hershey. Utilize a hypothesis driven workflow to solve business problems.

  • Utilize the following tools to drive insights into action:
  • IRI & syndicated data reporting (Quad reporting, business updates)
  • Customer data systems to derive sales performance analysis
  • Leverage partnership with Shopper Insights to advance work on strategic initiatives
  • Promotional analysis
  • Numerator
  • Tableau
  • Alteryx
  • Strong communication skills

Qualifications


  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Experience: 3-5 years Consumer Product Sales/ Analytical Experience
  • Prior Sales Analyst or Category Management experience a plus, not a requirement for this role
