Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure (OHAI). This team will focus on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment. We are unencumbered and will need your contribution to make it a world class engineering center with the focus on excellence.
The main responsibilities may include:

  • Perform daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability.
  • Perform Technology Upgrades related to Citrix, Windows, Linux, WebSphere, AX, Kofax, etc.
  • Implement monitoring for applications and servers, and respond to alarms in a timely manner, preventing client impact and performance degradation.
  • Support Client\Customer Technologies related to Millennium Software
  • Respond to Customer Service Request
  • Collaborate with project managers and other technical teams.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years in a relevant technology field
  • 1 year System administration or system engineering work experience
  • Unix / Linux experience
  • Some relational database knowledge
  • Exposure to the Agile Methodology
  • Experience with implementing and supporting highly technical solutions.
  • Highly developed troubleshooting capabilities
  • Knowledge of Deploying Config as Code via GitHub, CHEF, etc.

Provide system implementation, support, monitoring and maintenance of Cerner’s solutions and services.

  • Perform daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability.
  • Install, upgrade, and support all system components (Oracle Cerner Millennium Applications, O/S, Oracle databases, IP stacks, WebSphere MQ Series messaging subsystem, File Servers/Desktops/Citrix servers) and any other sub-licensed software requirements.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware/OS upgrades, and resource optimization.
  • Implement monitoring for applications and servers, and respond to alarms in a timely manner, preventing client impact and performance degradation.
  • Deploy physical and virtual servers.
  • Complete assigned incident management tasks
  • Deploy, setup, and maintain testing environments.
  • Provide Tier III and other support per service request.
  • Support customers in all aspects of system support from technical to application level for all Cerner Millennium Applications and all supporting technologies.
  • Engage with engineering teams to resolve technical and application issues for customers.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert/mentor for other System Engineers.
  • Mentor and Coach for newer System Engineers.
  • Perform on-call work as well as work additional or irregular hours as needed.
  • Willing to work on different technologies as needed.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position.
