Our Firm:
Schriber & Associates, PLLC is an Austin, Texas-based public accounting firm serving a broad range of clients, primarily focusing on matters of taxation and strategic planning. Our firm’s management has extensive public accounting experience having served the Austin investing and business community since 1982. We are located in the burgeoning Medical Parkway area just north of downtown.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to ensure compliance with federal and state income, transfer, and other tax systems with an emphasis on partnership, corporate, trust, gift, and individual income tax returns
- Execute the timely completion of tax preparation and accounting projects while identifying and communicating issues as they arise
- Forecast and estimate federal and state tax liabilities
- Research tax issues to ensure proper compliance while leveraging tax statutes and regulations to the benefit of the client
- Perform review level work enhancing your involvement in the career development process of fellow team members
- Develop your professional career through ongoing continuing education in tax, accounting, and personal development
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information consistent with professional and governmental guidelines and show high levels of discretion on all matters related to the position
Required Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant licensed or immediately qualifying for licensure in Texas
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a substantive institution; a Master’s Degree is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills used in interactions with clients, other professionals, and team members
- Ability to work independently with a sense of respectful urgency while maintaining a fun and positive attitude
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Willingness to work seasonal overtime
- Must pass a standard background check
Desired Qualifications:
- Experienced at least three spring tax seasons in the tax section of a CPA firm
- Strong familiarity with tax software
