Onsite in Woodlands office TX Tuesdays and Thursdays (Local Only)

Must Have recent and relevant Nutanix experience.

• Needs this person to help with day to day operations and some of the major projects they have going on; "a hodge podge of things"Projects-- server migrations from on prem to Azure, possibly helping with some updates to vmware environment, help with firmware updates with server environment

• We placed Johnny Tran but he focused only on hardware side and wouldn't branch outside of thatNeed more of a generalist- can do hardware, software, virtualization, working on systems

• Need someone willing to step out of their comfort zone and learn new things if needed and help out where is needed
• Soft skills/ communication- needs to be strong because interacting with lots of different managers and leadershipgood written and verbal comm

• Someone self-motivated and doesn't sit around for direction but takes initiative and actively does what is needed (no time to bring someone up to speed/ babysit)

OFFICIAL JD:

The consultant will provide technical and administrative support for server infrastructure and related technologies. Primary duties will include physical enterprise hardware assembly, maintaining system hardware, working on virtual or physical server migrations, operating system upgrades or installations in the on-premises datacenter and within an Azure cloud environment, experience working with Microsoft System Center, performing routine system analysis, troubleshooting, and resolving issues, assisting with audits, participating in compliance testing, and maintaining procedures and documentation.

All applicants should possess a general understanding of server and infrastructure technologies including standard server hardware components, blade servers, storage area networks, raid levels, virtualization, Azure cloud VMs, DNS, DHCP, system security, and Windows operating systems. The ability to self-manage tasks and projects as well as collaborate and work in a team environment is required in addition to strong verbal and written communication skills. Prior experience with automated server provisioning and imaging processes, HPE Synergy and blade server technologies, Microsoft System Center, PowerShell scripting, and managing Nutanix or VMware environments is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide enterprise-wide Microsoft server operating systems and datacenter hardware support services for a global organization.
• Assist with day-to-day server team duties and projects. (Datacenter to Azure Migrations)
• Provide support for HPE server/storage hardware and management tools.
• Administer Nutanix and VMware infrastructure globally leveraging Prism, vCenter, and other tools.
• Manage Azure virtual infrastructure through Azure portal cloud services.
• Assist with maintaining enterprise infrastructure documentation.
• All other duties as assigned.
