Access Control Systems, LLC is on the hunt for experienced Service Technicians. Around since 1987, ACS is Nashville’s largest automated gate and parking/revenue control system installer. In addition, we install and service commercial overhead doors along with video surveillance. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Service Technician maintains equipment in our access control, automatic gate and preventative maintenance divisions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides equipment service as required
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs units while in the field
  • Maintain records of service calls
  • Educate customers on preventive maintenance and safety measures
  • Responsible for keeping company vehicle clean and maintained
  • Work together as a team
  • Regular attendance at work
  • Other tasks as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • As a condition of employment, ACS will conduct a background check and drug screen
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and a voltage meter
  • Low voltage experience as well as basic electrical knowledge
  • HVAC and construction experience
  • Ability to perform physical work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather elements

Preferred:

  • Experience with electronic equipment repairs

The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand; walk; dig; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in a fast-paced outdoor construction environment and is subject to weather extremes (heat, cold, sun, wind, rain, and snow). Duties may require digging for long periods of time. Occasional need to drive a vehicle to other work locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $29.00 per hour
