SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. High School diploma or equivalency.

2. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language, bilingual helpful.

3. One (1) year experience in banking or job related field or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

4. One (1) year of customer service or cash handling experience.

5. Ability to respond to customer requests with tact, diplomacy, and a sense of urgency.

6. Ability to prioritize own tasks and responsibilities to ensure that excellent service to our customers is accomplished before most administrative functions are processed.

7. Ability to handle multiple tasks within a prescribed time period and adapt to frequent or unexpected changes in work responsibilities or processes.

8. Ability to operate basic office equipment including a PC with job related software.

9. Ability to handle bank and customer transactions with a high level of confidentiality.

10. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, and kneel.

11. Knowledge of state and federal regulations.

12. Knowledge of Alliance Bank’s loan policies and procedures.

13. Knowledge of Alliance Bank’s products and services.

14. Schedules are prepared based on business need and subject to change at any time. This may include the need for evenings, weekends, or holiday coverage.

15. Repetitive movement of finger, wrist, and hand.

16. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

1. Personify Alliance Bank’s mission statement of The best in allwe do.

2. Actively sell and cross-sell bank services.

3. Provide prompt, courteous, and friendly service.

4. Provides professional services to the bank’s customers by prompt acknowledgment of the customer, maintaining a friendly and courteous demeanor, ensures customer satisfaction on transaction requests and presents a professional image.

5. Accurately and efficiently complete customer transactions, including but not limited to:

a. Cashing Checks, receiving deposits, savings account transactions, change orders, processing transfers, loan payments, redeeming bonds, cash advances, cashier checks, gift cards, money orders, safe deposit box payments.

b. Place appropriate holds using the Reg CC Funds Availability Guide and recommended hold options in Teller.

c. Accepting account maintenance forms such as but not limited to: change of address request, request to reactivate dormant accounts.

e. Accepting and requiring updated Photo ID from customers for maintenance/updating account information.

f. Create temporary checks and deposit slips for customers.

g. Balance and process work through teller capture.

h. Ability to understanding a customer’s profile and account history to detect unusual activity and report suspected fraud.

i. Follow guidelines and procedures located in Service Specialist Manual.

j. May preform vault duties such as ordering/shipping currency and coin and distributing money to other service specialists.

6. Ability to learn the role of Relationship Banker and perform that role in a frontline or back up capacity as needed.

7. Keep updated on all Alliance Bank policies and procedures pertaining to this position.

8. Attendance and punctuality a must.
