Lock Haven Catholic School is seeking enthusiastic staff to join our fantastic team for the 2023-2024 school year. There is currently a need for a Part-Time Tech Services Specialist.

Applicants must hold an Associate’s degree related to computer management/information systems and one year of work experience or equivalent work experience.

All applicants must be able to obtain all state and federal clearances.

Overview: The Technology Services Specialist is responsible for providing support and management of technological applications that contribute to a successful and effective educational program.

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintaining network infrastructure hardware and software packages and managing their operation

· Performing analysis of basic to moderately complex problems and determining the necessary resolutions to implement

· Testing and installing various types of network cabling including fiber optics

· Developing and implementing on-going training for school staff

· Coordinating IT projects including consulting with vendors, faculty and management, evaluating and selecting the necessary technology, the physical set-up, and ensuring integrity of associated communications and connections

· Preparing and disseminating technology-related communications

· Assisting with the technological grant process

· Creating technology policies and procedures

· Attending meetings, as necessary

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required:

· Supportive of the mission of the Catholic Church

· Ability to satisfactorily complete background checks and training applicable to diocesan requirements

· Associate’s degree related to computer management/information systems and one year of work experience or equivalent work experience (5 years)

· Practical experience with computer hardware and software programs

· Working knowledge of current technological trends, to include remote learning procedures

· Experience with protecting confidential information

· Knowledge of regulations regarding applicable school law and able to adhere to and enforce Diocesan rules, School Board policies and vendor contractual obligations

· Able to behave in an ethical and professional manner to serve as a role model for students, parents and staff

· Able to present a professional appearance concerning attire and grooming

· Able to communicate in a professional and efficient manner in both verbal and written methods

Working Conditions:

FLSA Status: Hourly Nonexempt

Work Status: Part-time

Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting and using a keyboard for

extended periods of time
