ServiceNow CMDB Engineer - hybrid Job at Zions Bancorporation

We are currently seeking an experienced ServiceNow Engineer with strong knowledge of the ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery and Service Mapping . The ServiceNow Engineer ensures the accuracy of configuration data and proper reporting while working with a diverse team to develop and maintain applications such as VR, SIR, HAM, SAM, ITSM, AOM, as well as creating custom applications. This role is fast paced and will provide the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects on the highly visible ServiceNow Platform team. This is part of a multi-million-dollar effort to modernize Zions’ core systems, placing Zions at the forefront of modern banking systems.
The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience necessary to:
Manage the operational support, data quality, and maintain continuous oversight of the enterprise CMDB
Work with various stakeholders and CI owners to ensure the quality of CMDB data is maintained and all Configuration Items are up-to-date
Make Continuous Improvements towards the automation and maintenance of non-discoverable data attributes to include the integration of other asset management systems as required
Conduct data quality analysis and provide recommendations to address data quality issues
Manage Configuration Item review attestations to ensure accuracy and completeness of undiscoverable configuration items is maintained within the CMDB
Develop training guides and communications regarding new features and functionality; and, conduct formal and informal training sessions with business and technical end users
Build reports for data verification requests
Document and annotate scripts, process flows, update sets, and other workflows associated with ServiceNow CMDB development and related capabilities
Attend scheduled meetings with customers, analysts, project managers, developers, and teams members; and attend and participate in scheduled meetings as part of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology
Consult with groups outside of the ServiceNow development team that would like to use or integrate with ServiceNow CMDB

Technical Experience and Qualifications:
Experience in ServiceNow Discovery (including patterns), CMDB (including remediation and query builder), dashboard and reporting and the CSDM
Experience in ServiceNow Service Mapping including creating custom patterns
4+ years’ ServiceNow experience with a focus on IT Service Management (ITSM)
4+ years’ experience with the ServiceNow CMDB and how it supports other capabilities such as GRC, ITAM and VR
Bachelors in computer science information systems or other related field and 4+ years programming experience
Experience defining, documenting, and implementing CI Data audits
Experience managing CI data in a ServiceNow CMDB
Experience creating CI Data Health reports, identifying, and resolving CI data gaps to maintain CI data integrity
Proficient in developing and implementing configuration management processes
Basic knowledge in any of the following is a plus:
Programming/Python/Scripting
Integration Fabric
Cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure, Terraform, Ansible)
CI/CD Pipeline
Site Reliability
Virtualization/Containers
A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
Location: This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah.
