Position Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Location: St. Charles, MO

Position Overview: The Shipping and Receiving Specialist will be responsible for material shipping, receiving, and material handling responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform basic inspection and verification of product received, which involves matching the item number and quantity to packing slip and purchase order as well as potentially including any required product certifications.
• Execute receipt in company ERP (Enterprise Resource System), print, and apply part labels.
• Provide completed receiving paperwork to the accounting department.
• Move and store products within the facility, using carts, pallet jacks, forklifts and trucks.
• Contact suppliers for quotes and arrange shipments in and out of the facility.
• Package and label items being shipped to ensure product is delivered on time and without damage.
• Using UPS and FedEx systems, create shipping documents to ensure proper traceability and delivery of items.
• Create Bills of Lading for freight shipments.
• Comply with all company procedures pertaining to receiving, shipping, material handling and safety requirements.
• Assist with conducting inventory cycle counts.
• Must account for timely loading and unloading of trailers upon arrival and for departure.
• Organize and maintain clean shipping desk, dock, and storage areas including trailers, racks and outside areas used for storage.
• On occasion, assist with local pick-ups and deliveries.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At a minimum 1-year Forklift experience.
• At a minimum 1-year Shipping and Receiving experience.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Basic computer data entry skills.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Ability to work with a variety of internal/external customers and maintain a high level of service.

Desirable Skills:

• Technical College Certification.
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
• Class E Drivers License.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, kneel and move for 8+ hours per day.
