Shop Service Technician / Mechanic

Woods Machinery is seeking a Shop Service Technician / Mechanic to join our team at our Bobcat of Burlington (Hainesport, NJ) location to support our customer base in New Jersey.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for diagnosing and repairing Bobcat equipment as well as all makes and models of compact construction equipment we represent in the shop or field which includes; Skid Steer Loaders, Track Loaders, Excavators as well as other equipment offered by the dealership.
• Seeking Level A, B, and C skilled technicians.
• Level A Candidates must possess at least (4) four years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic and diesel construction or industrial equipment.
• Level B candidates will be considered based on experience and background but should possess at least (3) years of experience in a related field – heavy equipment, trucks, or automotive.
• Level C candidates may possibly be considered based on related experience and/or vocational training. In addition, candidates must be able to work with minimal supervision, solve problems and possess superior technical skills.
• Meet flat rate and/or estimated hours allocated for each repair on a consistent basis.
• Maintain work areas, tools, vehicle, and equipment to promote a clean and safe work environment.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must have 1+ years’ service experience in construction equipment.
• Mechanical background including skills in diesel mechanics, hydraulic and electrical diagnostics.
• Ability to provide certificates of prior technical training is a plus but not required (diesel engines, hydraulic / hydrostatic systems, fuel systems, electrical).
• Common tools for repairing equipment.
• Ability to work with computers, schematics and repair manuals.
• Attention to detail, organized and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear communication with co-workers and managers.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.
• Pass background and drug screening.
• Must have the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with the customer and the Service Manager.
• Document all work performed on company provided laptop while onsite.
• Ability to work in a shop and outside environment with exposure to adverse weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, dirt, and noise.
• Work overtime as business needs arise.
