Position: Silver Wave Assembly
Department: Operations
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Summary/Objectives: is responsible for assembling and installing parts, pieces or following specific instructions for each boat model.
Responsibilities:
- Verify Sales Order for special options and ensures materials are on hand to complete daily production schedule
- Assemble parts onto the boat per the description of the Sales order by using the correct tools and proper methods to attain the correct standard in the installation
- Follow proper safety requirements for the use of hand tools, drills, screw guns, and other equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines and tools as needed
- Keep work area clean & free of safety hazards
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities
- Be able to use a variety of hand tools, razor knives, screw gun, drill, ratchet, etc.
- Must be able to work under time constraints and deadlines
- Work with a team to complete daily tasks
- Be able to read Sales Orders and identify missing or defective parts
- Ability to follow a work schedule and work order
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
- Must be dependable, and have reliable transportation
Physical Demands:
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Requires lifting, standing, kneeling, bending – getting in and out of boats up to 10 hours per day
- Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
