Overview:
Responsible for monitoring assigned patient's safety and comfort under the supervision of a licensed nurse based on age specific needs. Must be able to report any unusual or untoward behavior of patients requiring intervention by assigned licensed personnel. Employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.
Responsibilities:
1. Insures monitoring of patient safety.
- Assumes responsibility for insuring continued occupational growth and age specific competencies.
- Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the unit.
- Performs related responsibilities as required and directed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- May have Prolonged periods of standing and walking on a continuous basis
- Must provide constant monitoring of patients during assigned shift and must stay awake and alert during assigned shift.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- May be exposed to communicable diseases and bio-hazardous materials
