Position Overview

• Being a traditional video editor is NOT what we are looking for. The Social Media Manager (SMM) position should specialize in short form, vertical video format and use "Influencer style editing" that is tailored for maximum engagement & reach on Instagram & Tiktok.
• ***Please note*** that the editing experience we seek is different from standard commercial or music video editing you might find on common youtube channels. We are looking for someone who understands what's trending & use techniques that are effective at gaining and keeping viewers on IG/TikTok.
• SME will work directly with our CEO to edit social media content in Adobe Premiere Pro for our multiple companies.
• This is an hourly job, and will be 95% remote (with a few exceptions on projects that may require your physical presence.) Hours may flex depending on the weekly workload between the three companies.

Company Overview

• AlphaMale Visuals (@A_M_Visuals on Instagram) is an award-winning film production company working in Feature Films, Music Videos, & Commercials in Atlanta GA. Our Feature Film work has been televised on Lifetime, TV One, BET networks and we work with the top musical artists and labels in the hip hop & R&B genre; collecting several awards and accolades for our work.
• Our CEO, Roger Alexander, operates 2 other sister companies for renting out film gear and renting out luxury sprinter vans: "Atlanta Camera Rental" & "Super Sprinters Atlanta". He also creates content about his personal life and side hustles.
• This position would edit content for all 3 companies to post on social media

Job Duties

• Use Premiere Pro to edit footage from a variety of cameras into different form factors across all social media platforms for our multiple companies
• Create subtitles for videos with speaking
• Create engaging thumbnails for each of my posts in photoshop using popular techniques to increase viewership
• Adopt popular editing styles from influencers that produce results
• Plan out future posts on a calendar with times for our multiple companies
• Assess and estimate the best times to post content for viewership, based on previous results & stats
• Manually follow other accounts
• Reply to comments immediately within the first hour of a post going up
• Continuous market research and weekly reports on current trends on IG and TikTok and advise on which ones we should follow
• Continuous research to figure out what songs are currently trending on TikTok and IG to increase viewership
• Quick file exchange with CEO

Qualifications

• Mandatory: 4 years of experience editing in Adobe Premiere pro
• Proficient in everything about Adobe Premiere Pro
• Understanding of making cuts & edits to sync up with music
• Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in a similar social media manager role with a public figure
• Show previous editing work that grabs attention and demonstrates knowledge of popular social media trends & editing techniques
• Have an editing computer strong enough to handle 4k footage from a variety of cameras, including cinema cameras
• Implements systems to ensure the best footage is utilized
• Organization skills to re-arrange footage into telling a complete story
• Show previous editing work that demonstrates proficient storytelling
• Internal drive to "stay in the know" about current trends & trending songs on IG & Tiktok
• Fast turnaround time on edits
• Meet or Exceed every deadline
• Proficient text messenger & quick responses to text messages with CEO
• Available for text messages at any time
• Creativity to interject your own ideas into an edit to increase viewership, and not just waiting for me to show you everything
• Availability to start on an edit within 24 hours of receiving notes
• Prioritize & Multi-task multiple projects at once & sill meet deadlines
• Must maintain a professional attitude under stress
• Maintain discretion about a particular project until after it's released
• Ability to take direction and make any requested changes to an edit, regardless of the quantity of edits
• Preferred: experience with editing music videos
