At Edward Jones we are developing the suite of next-generation end user computing solutions to meet the evolving needs of our associates while supporting our growing business. The End User Computing Technical Architect will play an integral role in setting enterprise-level technical direction and executing on our digital workspace strategy which supports the needs of both our home office and branch users. The Architect will be part of a team responsible for managing and supporting over 60,000 end user computing devices and 35,000 print/scan devices in locations across North America.

What you'll do...
- Serve as lead technical architect for End User Computing initiatives related to end user hardware (physical and virtual), operating systems, browsers, software packaging, deployment and management, and application integration.
- Experience with end-user experience solutions
- Lead technical troubleshooting efforts to resolve end-user compute issues.
- Partner with Information Security in the development of standards and continuous improvement of end-point protections.
- Plan and execute initiatives for improving operational efficiencies through automation and/or enhancement of end user experience.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
- Assist with technical development and mentoring of team members.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure that End User Computing is properly represented and considered in strategic discussions and decision-making.

What you'll need...
- Must be experienced in creating a strategic technology direction, aligning it with tactical activities, and communicating plans broadly across multiple audiences, including firm-wide business units, senior leaders, associates, and external vendors.
- Minimum of 10 years of IT experience across multiple technology areas with at least 3 years of architecture experience on complex distributed systems.
- Extensive knowledge in end user systems administration, troubleshooting, end user hardware, operating systems (Windows and MacOS), Microsoft Office suite, browsers, Active Directory, Group Policy, storage, replication, security, network technologies, VMware, Citrix and Desktop as a Service platforms.
- Experience in automation, configuration management, monitoring and deployment of enterprise scale infrastructure such as Microsoft SCCM, Adaptiva OneSite, Jamf, Intune, PowerShell, or Splunk.
- Knowledge of endpoint monitoring solutions that focus on end user experience such as Nexthink, Control UP, and Stratusphere
- Familiarity with software packaging best practices and application virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices and associated processes.
- Knowledge of a wide-array of end user peripheral devices such as printers, scanners and MFDs.
- Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally and build relationships to improve processes, issue resolution and user experience.
- Effective communication (written and verbal) targeted at a wide array of audiences.
- Individual must be self-motivated with the ability to actively participate in multiple large and complex efforts or projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information Systems preferred
