JOB PURPOSE
Under direction of the Director of Information Technology and the Director of Software Engineering, The Software Engineer III is responsible for utilizing an analytical, engineering-focused approach and expert knowledge of programming languages to develop and deliver computer systems, and to ensure the computer system is as functional and robust as required by the operational environment and business goals. This role works with upper management to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Tier 1 responsibilities:
- Author well-designed and testable code.
- Document and maintain software functionality.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
- Comply with project plans and industry standards.
- Ensure software is updated with latest features.
- Ensure source code is checked-in regularly.
- Design and develop test cases
- Tier 2 responsibilities:
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
- Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
- Monitor system performance.
- Ability to technically lead small to medium systems/projects.
- Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of full-time experience in the Software Engineering field.
- Specific Professional Experience required with the following languages:
- JavaScript
- CSS3
- Python
- C#
- HTML5

- Must present excellent leadership skills.

- Ability to travel required.
