Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Sonographer to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities:

  • Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures, including 2D and 3D echocardiography, stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and Doppler studies.
  • Utilize ultrasound equipment and advanced imaging techniques to capture high-quality images of the heart and related structures.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and address any concerns or questions.
  • Position patients appropriately, ensuring optimal imaging quality and patient comfort.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, recognizing and responding to any adverse reactions or complications.
  • Analyze and interpret ultrasound images, providing accurate measurements and assessments of cardiac structures and function.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to review and discuss findings, contributing to accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
  • Adhere to established protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements related to cardiac sonography.
  • Document procedures, findings, and patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Stay updated on advancements in cardiac imaging technology and participate in continuing education activities to enhance knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Proficient in performing a variety of cardiac ultrasound procedures, including echocardiography, stress echocardiograms, TEE, and Doppler studies.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • Proficient in using ultrasound equipment and related technology.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality images.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
