As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Sourcing / Purchasing Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Sourcing and Purchasing Manager will be responsible for the oversight of our Customer Service team members, working closely with our sales organization by leading our sourcing efforts for new opportunities, developing, and overseeing our purchasing processes and personnel, ensuring that we are aligned with our key suppliers, and that we are receiving fair and best market pricing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and negotiation skills. The role requires someone with exceptional communication skills who can build relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure that our procurement processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans that align with the company's business objectives.

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on strategic alignment within the product portfolio, cost, quality, and delivery.

• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to ensure that the company is getting the best value for money, to include managing supplier price changes.

• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring that suppliers are meeting their contractual obligations and performance metrics.

• Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

• Monitor inventory levels and work with production teams to ensure that turn targets are met.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and logistics, to ensure that procurement processes support operational goals.

• Evaluate and analyze procurement data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings opportunities.

• Review supplier purchase orders to ensure market competitive pricing is being received.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within the flexible packaging and general packaging industry. Knowledge of polyethylene film and bags is a bonus!

• Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to analyze data to drive decision-making.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.

• Experience with ERP and procurement software systems.

• Experience determining inventory min/max inventory levels based on customer usage requirements, supplier lead times, seasonality, and managing inventory turns.

• Managing customer warehouse agreements and slow-moving inventory.

• Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance requirements.

• General knowledge of Food Safety Programs

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
