Sous Chef Job at Confidential
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. The Sous Chef will be responsible for producing high-quality cuisine at a fast pace, leading a team, running a station, and expediting orders.
The Sous Chef will work closely with the CDC and GM to drive day-to-day operations and will be responsible for such tasks as monitoring kitchen activities, ensuring that orders are expedited to meet quality standards, and providing direction to the Kitchen Managers and kitchen staff in the CDC's absence.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years kitchen management experience in a high-volume, full-service, scratch restaurant
- High level of emotional maturity and the ability to remain steady and focused, even in the weeds
- Exceptional cooking skills
- Ability to effectively direct and motivate kitchen staff
- Desire to teach, coach, and share your knowledge with others
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Understanding of food cost and labor management
- Ability to multitask and work quickly under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable with paperwork and administrative responsibilities
- Compassion and appreciation for others and a strong desire to operate as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
- Computer literacy
- Proficiency with GSuite, and Aloha POS
- ServSafe certification
Salary:
$45,000-$50,000 -- Depending on experience
