Special Education Teacher Job at Monticello Public Schools
- Current teaching license for the State of Minnesota for Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD/DD), Autism Spectrum Disorders(ASD), or ABS
- Work with students that have Developmental Delay, Autism, and/or Developmental Cognitive Disabilities
- Collaborates and works closely with a team of special education teachers and related services staff (Speech, DAPE, etc)
- Implement state and federal laws, statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to special education
- Follow and implement all due process and timeline requirements in special education
- Work well with students that have multiple disabilities, severe Autism and/or Developmental Cognitive Disabilities
- Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs, and strategic plan of the district
- Inspires and engages all students in relevant learning
- Maintain confidentiality of information about students, families and staff
- Experience working with diverse students and families
- Assist with supervision of students during non-academic education activities
