Specialist, Training – NHO/Leadership Job at Catalent
POSITION SUMMARY
The Training Specialist - NHO/Leadership is responsible for delivering content to include topics such as onboarding of new hires, supervisory/management training, work skills/soft skills training, team building, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Additionally, this role must champion Catalent’s culture and core values and help to deliver optimal experiences for employees.
THE ROLE
- Serves as primary Leadership program facilitator, utilizing a variety of teaching styles and methods to link course concepts to relevant business situations.
- Collaborate with corporate L&D and Human Resources to ensure program content and learner experience deliver needed business results.
- Proactively work with department leaders through interviews, surveys, and/or focus groups, to assess and anticipate training needs and to design and implement training solutions across all departments and positions.
- Works with Compliance Specialist to define learning content and build a robust leadership and new hire onboarding curriculum.
- Research platforms and delivery methods to conduct training, including in- person sessions, webinars, 1:1 instruction, and case studies.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure new hires have proper training for successful onboarding.
- Lead high quality and impactful learning content that supports our changing and growing organization, both in onboarding and continuous learning.
- May assist the Training Manager in collecting and analyzing data and target metrics to evaluate effectiveness of programs and learning solutions to drive program improvements and strategic results.
- May assist to administer, track, and evaluate the onboarding orientation process to seek improvement
- May assist in tracking and analyzing course evaluation and training program effectiveness, adjusting training materials based on results.
- Track and create reports for training, engagement, and onboarding programs and maintain records for all the department initiatives.
- Prepares material for new training programs and onboarding aids such as instructional material handouts evaluation forms.
THE CANDIDATE:
- Bachelor's degree in field relating to science, technology, Training & Development, or other relevant degree and 2 – 4 years of experience pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred but not required, specific experience with Biologics, Cell, or Gene Therapy manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
OR
- Associate degree in field relating to science, technology, Training & Development, or other relevant degree and 4 – 6 years of experience pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred but not required, specific experience with Biologics, Cell, or Gene Therapy manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- High school diploma and 6 – 8 years of experience pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred but not required, specific experience with Biologics, Cell, or Gene Therapy manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- Experience developing instructor guides, workbooks, job aids, and related materials preferred but not required.
- Experience developing e-learning (e.g. computer-based, web-based training, online learning) that is delivered through digital media including Learning Management Systems (LMS), web, video, or mobile devices preferred but not required
- Experience in Pharma/Biotech or other cGMP environment preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in Onboarding and Leadership training preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with adult learning principles, learning development life cycle, evaluation of learning programs
- Strong facilitation skills, and demonstrated experience training professionals up to senior management level in both live in-person and live-virtual environments
- Exceptional written skills, particularly in technical writing (training materials, SOPs, and operational documentation)
- Solid communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences and the ability to create and communicate complex concepts and analyses in easy-to-understand ways.
