Responsibilities & Duties

The primary responsibility of our Speech-Language Pathologists is to provide excellent service and support to children and their families who need speech therapy services. In this role, your top priority will be to better facilitate the achievement of each child’s individual therapeutic goals and objectives.

In this role, you will…

• Plan services to address each child’s goals as mandated within their IFSP or IEP
• Promote and facilitate each child’s optimal function and engagement in meaningful activities across various environments & settings through the application of your invaluable services.
• Provide support to families and assist in the carry-over of therapeutic techniques in the home environment.
• Collaborate with other disciplines as needed/ as indicated in each student’s IFSP or IEP.
• Remain in compliance with all state and local requirements for professional documentation and continuing education.
• Maintain appropriate mandated documentation regarding student services and subsequent needs thoroughly and confidentially.

Programs Available at HTA

At HTA of New York, we offer services in local homes and community settings (daycares, preschools, etc.) across several locations including Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, and Rockland County as well as NYC. The following are the programs offered across each of these locations:

• Early Intervention (EI), for children aged from birth to 3 years old – Available in all locations
• Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE), for children aged from 3 to 5 years old – Available in Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, and Rockland County
• Committee on Special Education (CSE), for children aged 5 and up – Available in Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess County

Required Qualifications

Our ideal candidate for this position must possess all of the following:

• NYSED Professional License in Speech-Language Pathology
• Certification proving up-to-date registration of Speech-Language Pathology License
• (If you are a CSE/CPSE provider) TSHH/TSSLD Certification
• A National Provider Identification (NPI) number

Other qualities that are not required, but that would be highly valuable in this role include:

• Prior experience with itinerant work
• Bilingual Fluency (especially in English + Spanish)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
