Semperit is a manufacturer of industrial rubber and plastic products. Founded in Vienna, Austria in 1824, we employ 7,000 people in Europe, Asia, Australia, and the US. We operate 14 manufacturing facilities and sales offices throughout four divisions: SemperFlex, SemperTrans, SemperForm, and SemperMed. With focus on the industrial and medical sectors, our products include hydraulic and industrial hoses, conveyor belts, escalator handrails, construction profiles, cable car rings, products for railway superstructures, and medical disposable gloves. We have invested over $9 million in a new 150,000 square foot manufacturing plant in the greater Atlanta area. This investment will create over 70 new jobs and will serve as our new North American headquarters. We are currently recruiting for In-House Splice Operators.

Nature and Scope

• Basic mechanical skills including the use of hand tools
• Potential candidates should possess basic belt maintenance and/or conveyor belt vulcanizing knowledge. Applicants must have a fundamental understanding, of conveyance systems and have the ability to safely perform tasks such as installing mechanical splices
• Ensure high quality and adherence to measurements and other standards
• Individuals familiar with all hot vulcanized splicing techniques and previous pulley lagging experience (Preferred)
• High mechanical intelligence/ Repair Shop and Field Service experience(Preferred)

Interaction with Internal/External Key contacts

• Maintain positive relationships with workmates as well as Sales, Customer Service and Site Management
• Comprehend and fulfill customer product requirements
• Maintain and work to improve product quality while always maintaining Semperit's values
• Prepare and deliver all documentation required by Semperit in a timely manner

Educational Background/Experience

• High School Education/GED
• Technical background
• Mechanical aptitude
• Preferred experience in hands-on skilled work
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Ability to get along with others and build a team environment
• Ability to learn new skills and to follow complex written and verbal instructions
• Problem solving skills

Additional Comments

• Applicants preferred to have at least a High school diploma or equivalent
• Applicants are preferred to have had at least 2 years’ experience
• A criminal background check will be required on applicants

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
