The Brenham Banner-Press, an award-winning newspaper published three times a week, is seeking a knowledgeable and hard-working sports writer to join our successful team. We’re looking for someone who knows more than the score and can effectively and efficiently cover two school districts and Blinn Community College. We’re located in beautiful and historic Washington County, the birthplace of Texas, and the home of Blue Bell Ice Cream. We’re a newspaper with increasing circulation, a dedicated staff and a proud and longstanding sports tradition. The position is open immediately. Come work for one of the best newspaper teams in Texas and for owners who care deeply about their people and product. Photography experience a must. InDesign knowledge a plus.
