Summary
The Senior Accountant – Operations {East/West}, plays a pivotal role within the company, providing finance and accounting support to the Company’s network of distributions centers. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this role will be responsible for all facets of accounting and financial management including, but not limited to, the month end close, maintenance of internal controls and policies, supporting the reporting processes and financial audits.

Monday-Friday Full-Time, Exempt (Hybrid - Bolingbrook, IL)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare the month end journal entries for the region’s distribution centers.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for the region’s distribution centers.
- Perform variance analysis. Drive resolution and correction if needed.
- Develop and refine reporting for business operations, in particular the expenditures for each distribution center.
- Support financial statement audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements.
- Create new processes to improve financial efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Assist Director of Accounting and Corporate Controller with annual reporting and all other financial and management reports as required.
- Participate in various business processes and technology integration initiatives.
- Coordinate/communicate with cross functional areas regarding operational needs and accounting issues.
- Special projects as assigned by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain organized, accurate and complete accounting records, electronically and hardcopies, as necessary.
- Document policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
Required Education, Skills, Abilities and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 4 years related accounting experience.
- Adaptable while working in a fast changing and evolving organization.
- Effective analytical and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Maintain momentum on our big picture goals and projects as well as jump into day-to-day tasks.
- Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Have high personal integrity and a strong work ethic.
