Job Summary:

The Sr. Application Support Analyst’s role is to devise and design business process requirements for IT-related business, financial, and operations systems critical to core organizational functions. The position will elicit, analyze, specific, and validate the business needs of end users and customers. Responsible to plan, design, architect, and deploy effective testing for in-house product development software applications, information systems launches, and operations systems enhancements. This position will be the primary support for the Secretary System, working with all Rodeo Secretaries. This role delivers support to end users in the organization including how to use various types of software programs efficiently and effectively in fulfilling business objectives. This position is also responsible for assisting in the design, delivery, and improvement of in-house software applications, training programs and related courseware.

Essential Duties:

· Provide support to Rodeo Secretaries and PRCA Staff in the use of assigned systems.

· Provide training and instructions to Rodeo Secretaries facing difficulties or problems at the rodeo. When necessary, restore service, then escalate to problem management.

· Troubleshoot system and assist in the design, development, and improvement of the Secretary System.

· Collaborate with staff and users in conceptualizing and development of new information services.

· Analyze and assess existing business and IT systems and procedures. Makes recommendations for improvements and/or simplifications.

· Gather and document the definition, development, and documentation of software’s business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with staff & users.

· Collaborate in writing programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of applications.

· Design, run and monitor QA tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.

· Generate statistics and write reports for management and/or team members.

· Evaluate and make recommendations in support of changes in the marketplace, including but not limited to, new Windows versions or other 3rd party components.

· Helping grow more junior members in assigned areas.

· Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

· Bachelors’ degree in business, information technology, computer programming, or similar field and minimum 5 years BA / IT Support experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

· Business Analyst experiences, including process documentation, QA testing, and project management.

· Experience with, or ability to learn, MS 365 tools including Office, Teams, and the Power Platform.

· MS-SQL Server / .Net skills a plus.

· Knowledge of, or ability to learn, Rodeo terminology, processes and PRCA rules.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to speak at both user and technical levels, able to translate complex technical subjects into meaningful/relevant terms for the business, able to reliably convey information.

· Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills –ability to provide technical assistance, remotely, with an audience of varying technical skills.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to resolve conflicts and manage customer expectations.

· Team-oriented and places a high value on cross-functional participation, values diversity, consensus, is decisive, establishes trust, communicates proactively, embraces and fosters change.

· Effective priority and task management skills.

· Experience in the complete software development lifecycle and methodologies, including quality practices strongly preferred.

· This position requires taking and resolving support calls during evening, weekend and/or holiday hours.

Work Environment:

Working conditions: Works in an office environment and occasionally travels for special events out of state. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. This position has a non-traditional schedule to address providing service to Secretaries during Rodeo Operations (evening and weekends).

Physical Demands:

Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role; however, some lifting is required. This would require the ability to lift up to 15lbs of computers and other IT equipment, as necessary. Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, walk, and stand. Vision abilities include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
