Responsibilities:
As our Sr. Performance Test Engineer you will:
- Oversee multiple performance test engagements, ensuring best practice.
- Manage performance testing engagements, providing necessary training and mentoring team members.
- Leads performance system testing to verify system scalability, efficiency and reliability.
- Laisse with application technical SME's (DBA's, Developers, etc.) to drive proper monitoring, root cause analysis, and tuning support.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion where required.
- Identify software quality risks and anticipate potential software problems at the earliest possible instance
- Monitor using tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and Azure App Insights
- Suggest new tools and techniques to improve test efficiency.
- Oversee the development and delivery of progress reports, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Ensure support of key milestones and deliverables across projects.
- Validate project scope definitions, goals and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Review and drive Performance Test Plan documentation, Reporting, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Identify and classify defects for review and work with product owners and development teams to determine course of action

Qualifications:
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience as a Sr. Performance test engineer.
- 4+ years of experience working with automated performance testing tools (e.g. NeoLoad, LoadRunner, JMeter - preferred)
- API/Webservices Testing experience (SOAP, REST, FTP, JSON or similar)
- Experience with end-to-end software system testing and Mobile performance testing
- Strong grasp of the End-to-End performance test process and know how and when to engage different teams such as DBAs, Developers or System Administrators.
- Experience with Continuous Integration with Performance Testing – a plus
- Experience working with Cloud environments - preferably Azure
- Ability to articulate the role of performance to all functions and to influence the stakeholders towards a culture of “fail early” and “building quality in”
- 3+ years of experience working within an Agile (Scrum or SAFE) environment.
- Proven ability to drive the entire performance testing process from design, test development, execution and reporting.
- Curious, task-oriented, and a self-starter with a proven track record of "getting things done."
- Attention to detail with superior written, verbal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task is essential
- Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to rapidly solve problems in unfamiliar areas
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
