The Cardiovascular Portfolio Group brings all of our cardiac and vascular businesses together into one cross-functional, collaborative operating unit to employ the full breadth of our talent, technologies, products, services, and solutions to address the needs of customers and patients across the globe. Cardiac Rhythm Management offers devices and therapies to treat abnormal heart rhythms, as well as cardiac diagnostic and monitoring solutions.

We are looking for a talented Senior Level Software Engineer for our Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Software division. This engineer will help us drive software delivery as part of an agile development team. The right person will be an application developer with technical leadership skills in AWS Native tools (EMR, Glue, Athena, Lambda, and Data Lake), terraform, and knowledgeable about health care data. This person might have on-call rotation experience with non-production and production environments.

Day in the Life

• Design and develop high integrity software for medical devices

• Learn and understand software standards for medical devices

• Design, build, and test applications, distributed computing, and high-performance computing in Global Cloud Infrastructure as a Service environment

• Join Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meetings to review product design changes

• Support design reviews to ensure requirements have been met and risks have been mitigated

• Work closely with the product owner and scrum master to complete sprint planning, actively participate in scrum ceremonies and deliver results each sprint.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering/Science or technically related required
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with version control systems with Git such as Azure DevOps or GitHub

• Experience with Apache Software stack such as NiFi, Spark, Airflow, Hive, etc.

• Handling of non-production and production environment tickets and being on-call rotation

Specialized Knowledge :

• Hands-on experience with ‘Big Data’ technologies like AWS, pipelines, and Terraform

• Programming/testing expertise – Including Python, Java, and/or Linux

• Team Leadership experience
