SSHO/ Quality Control Manager Job at HCI Systems, Inc.
HCI Systems, Inc. is a Contractor specializing in government (DoD) service contract work. We are seeking an experienced Full-time SSHO/Quality Control Manager for projects in Southern California. Our contracts are multi-year, usually lasting 5 years.
Responsibilities:
- Attend pre-work meetings and produce activity specific Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
- Work as member of the project team, to ensure implementation and continuous monitoring and enforcement of the provisions of the project APP and AHAs.
- Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with all applicable OSHA and EM 385-1-1, and other applicable regulations as well as meeting contractual quality requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, recording all violations and noting what remediation needs to occur to keep the project moving safely.
- Prepare comprehensive reports of safety /quality inspections and complete all related documentation and paperwork.
- Coordinate response to on-site emergencies, and interface with off-site and on-site emergency response entities.
- Reviewing and interpreting task order specifications
- Managing Submittals and Progress Schedules
Knowledge/ Qualifications:
- 5 years of progressive Safety Management Experience
- 24hrs Annually of continued Safety Training (for the past 4 years)
- OSHA 30-hour General Industry or Construction Certification (within past 3 years)
- EM 385-1-1 Training Program Certification
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED Training (preferred)
- Must be able to pass DOD security clearance for base access
- Must pass background check and drug screen to be considered for this position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Electrical experience is a plus
- NAVFAC CQCM certification a plus. We will train if no certificate is available.
- Spanish speaking is a plus
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually low. The environment may include working from an office and includes traveling in different types of transportation. This position is considered a Safety Sensitive position.
Personal Protective Equipment: Must wear PPE as required based on job duties or when traveling to locations where PPE is essential.

Pay: $60,488.40 - $76,200.00 per year
