While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch, The employee is required to talk and hear. The employee must, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and work in temperature extremes ranging from 10-80 degrees Fahrenheit (Proper thermal protection to be provided). Must be able to distinguish colors and inspect products.

This is a Full-time position in a food production facility that operates 24/7/365. Flexibility during weekdays and weekends is required.

We are seeking a Storeroom Clerk with food handling experience to assist in managing the products in our catering facility.
Essential Functions
- Follow established rules of each unit for entry to building and work areas, properly attired and In compliance with HACCP guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by unit management.
- Comply with all HACCP and Flying Food Group sanitation and proper food handling policies and procedures.
- Unpack received items from master cases and place in proper shelf, bin, or cart.
- Accurately maintain inventory counts with product placement based on FIFO system
- Maintain organizing of products in coolers, freezers and dry storage rooms.
- Assist in re-creating inventory sheets to comply with Eatec shelf to sheet procedures.
- Take and record temperatures of all incoming products to ensure compliance with HACCP and USDA requirements.
- Ensure that temperature sensitive products are placed in proper coolers or freezers before substantial changes occur.
- Decant products for production requirements to proper carts for transport to production areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned by unit Supervisor
Knowledge and Skills
- Education/Experience -High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Ability - Able to communicate with coworkers and supervisors. Read food item descriptions. Recognize differences between words and numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Math Ability - Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Manual Dexterity - Able to work with hands to unpack and stock shelves or bins
- Reasoning Ability - Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills – Able to enter data and manipulate within Excel and Word environment.
- Certificates and Licenses - No certifications needed
- Pass written test given at some units for personnel applying for Storeroom positions.
