Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Establishes and maintains an inventory of supplies, materials, equipment to be provided to the departments within Tacachale. Reviews daily, weekly and/or monthly Supply Inventory Management Systems report to ensure an acceptable level of inventory materials and supplies is maintained. Initiate purchase orders for stores items to maintain stock levels and obtains special supplies and materials as required. Ensures receiving reports are prepared and forwarded to accounting within the established timeframes.
Oversee, inspects, and organizes the warehouse area for space, utilization, cleanliness and safety standards. Conducts physical inventory of stores items on a periodic basis. Rotates stock and disposes of outdated or excess materials and supplies as needed to maintain a quality product. Coordinates the receipt and inspection of supplies. Oversees the loading, packaging and distribution of supplies.
Responsible for filling supply requisitions, ensures the quality of the product and the accuracy of the count. Ensures supplies are issued from stock or direct charges and delivered to the appropriate home, office or maintenance in a timely manner. Informs Stores Manager of delivery discrepancies or problems with warehouse commodities. Maintains a working knowledge of the computer system utilized in warehouse operations. Initiates stock numbers and prepares product item description for the computerized inventory system.
Maintains a safe, orderly and clean working environment by observing good storage procedures. Assists in the care and maintenance of the storeroom supplies and equipment.
Provides advice and technical assistance to Tacachale staff regarding any warehouse problems.
Perform other related duties as required or requested by supervisor.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to operate a fork lift.
Knowledge of record-keeping procedures.
Ability to conduct physical inventory of stores items.
Ability to establish and maintain inventory controls records.
Ability to prepare and review purchase requisitions.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid Florida Driver’s License to apply for this position. (If initially hired with an out-of-state license the Florida resident must obtain a valid Florida State driver’s license within 30-days of hire. License suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (Business purpose/Employment/Education only license) and some types of restricted license are not acceptable. License that have “Corrective Lenses Restricted,” are acceptable, provided the driver wears the corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.
This position may be required to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency per APD OP 2-0035.
This position is critical to the safety and supervision of residents and may require the incumbent to work beyond their normal work schedule to maintain minimum coverage levels in the facility.
