We are looking for energetic and caring Substitute Teachers that have experience working in the child care industry and have the necessary credentials and training required by North Carolina.

We focus on experiential education and hands-on learning for children aged 3 to 5 years old, and are looking for teachers who enthusiastically support this mission. We strive to give our students learning experiences that are exciting, engaging, and developmentally appropriate.

To Assist: help (someone), typically by doing a share of the work.

• Substitutes are a vitally important position with us. It is valuable to the team, and appreciated by all staff and our Board.
• Contribute positively to the school atmosphere and staff morale
• Carry out our directives and policies
• Substitutes will implement daily routines while keeping the classroom organized to help maintain a creative, aesthetically pleasing and challenging environment
• Be a leader in the classroom and collaborate with teachers as a unified team
• Work with Administration in planning and participating in group activities
• Facilitate for each child’s emotional, social, cognitive and physical growth
• Provide smooth transition time from one activity to the next
• Provide a nurturing and safe environment for students
• Be cooperative with other staff members
• Be professional with students, other staff, and administration
• Follow ECERS guidelines and State Regulations
• Encourage the child's use of their own abilities
• Utilize and offer a variety of teaching methods that are appropriate for unique children/ situations
• Implement firm standards for safety and kindness, with love and logic concept stressed
• Maintaining classroom cleanliness and safety.

- Job Requirements:

• Valid NC Childcare Background Check
• Current Tuberculosis Test or Screening
• Current Medical Report, per state requirement
• NC Child Care Certificate (EDU 119) (required)
• Experience in Childcare setting
• CPR and First Aid Certified (provided)

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
