J.W. Builders is a Raleigh based, custom home builder that specializes in durable and modern homes. We're looking for a Superintendent who has experience working with advanced details, modern materials, and build science techniques. Someone who understands the value of preparation and following through.

As the Superintendent you'll be tasked with the following duties:

• Supervise total on-site efforts to ensure high-end residential projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, safety, code and quality. Includes interfacing with clients, architects, engineers, city officials, and other contractors.
• Provide technical assistance and direction to contractors i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommended construction methods, company procedures, planning and schedule development.
• Authorize and/or approve all field project personnel transactions, small purchase requisitions, and field requests for information.
• Coordination of materials and take offs with suppliers and Subcontractors.
• Support Project Management team in developing, implementing and executing project procedures, working documents and standards.
• Bidding, negotiating, value engineering, and executing contracts in conjunction with Project Manager.
• Set overall schedule and deadlines in conjunction with Project Manager.
• Management, coding and approval of Subcontractor invoicing in conjunction with Project Manager.
• Assistance in weekly OAC meetings.

The right candidate with have all of the following qualifications:

• 7+ years of professional experience supervising high end custom home projects.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of construction software is preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
