Support and Transport Operator – Crisis

One (1) Full-time/40hrs/Non-Exempt/$19.95 - $24.15 per hour (DOE)

Additional - Pay differentials offered - must qualify through testing or verification for the special competencies.

• Language Translation - Bi-Cultural Spanish ($1.00)

• Bimodal Bilingualism - ASL Sign Language - Interpret from American Sign Language (ASL) to English, and English to ASL. ($1.00)

The Transportation Operator’s main responsibility is to provide transportation for individuals who are receiving services through Redwood Community Services. The Transportation Operator is responsible for picking up clients and taking them to their scheduled appointments using RCS-provided vehicles. Additionally, this position will have other clerical and logistical tasks in support of the day-to-day operation of the agency. Preferred but not required – Training in crisis intervention, and de-escalation. Desired at least 1-year clerical office experience, knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook. Must meet the classification of a Care Manager (I-III), be 21 years old and have valid CA driver’s license, be licensed at least 2 years, with no more than 2 points on driving record.Bilingual preferred, not required.

Education/Experience:

Classifications and Qualifications for Care Managers

• CM III: An individual who has at least four (4) years of full-time/equivalent (FTE) experience in a mental health-related field proving direct mental health services. Up to two (2) years of the four (4) years of experience can be substituted by years of education in a mental health-related field. There is a minimum requirement of two (2) years of actual work experience. *
• CM II: An individual who has at least two (2) years but less than four years of FTE experience in a mental health-related field providing direct mental health services.
• CM I: An individual who has less than two (2) years of FTE experience in the mental health-related field providing direct mental health services.

• The education requirement is for a CM II or CM III - must be a minimum of two (2) years of education (60 semester or 90 quarter units) with a minimum of 12 semesters (18 quarter) units in a mental health-related subject area such as child development, social work, human behavior, rehabilitation, psychology, or alcohol and drug counseling. Must be able to provide written verification of experience upon hire.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position may work within ALL other agency programs, consistent with their scope of practice, on a as needed basis. In addition, may require occasional flexible work schedule to meet the individualized needs of each client.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CA Driver's License, Current Auto Insurance, Clean DMV Printout, clear background check w/ DOJ, CACI, FBI, CPR and First Aid Certified. TB Test and Physical at the time of employment.
