Boeing Commercial Airplanes is looking for a Flight Controls System Service Engineer to join our team in Kyiv at the Boeing Ukraine.
The primary responsibilities in this role will be addressing and resolving in-service issues related to Flight Controls. In this role, you will also be tasked with working directly with airline customers to analyze the systems issues, writing technical documents to inform airline customers of status/resolution, monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assessing and resolving product/process issues through the product life-cycle.
• Leading research of technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer.
• Designing and/or providing analysis of interim and final engineering solutions to return airplanes to revenue service.
• Assesses complex system events reports to determine potential safety issues.
• Develops and implements product/process improvements.
• Writes documentation of system’s related problems.
• Develops customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Willing to support a 24/7 on-call rotation schedule and the ability to work variable shifts, including weekends or overtime.
• You will be an integral part of supporting all Boeing Commercial Airplane models in-service and under development.
• Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and designs interim and final engineering solutions.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or equivalent fields
• 2+ years of experience working as mechanical engineer, production engineer, technician
• Experienced in reading and understanding engineering models, drawings and specifications
• Experience/Familiarity with design of aircraft flight controls
• Existing rights to work in Ukraine
• Intermediate English level in both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Work experience in Airlines with Boeing Airplanes
• Maintenance of the Boeing Airplane Flight Controls system
• Deep knowledge of Flight Controls system design, including fly-by-wire systems
• Knowledge of airplane maintenance documentation, standards and practices
• DFDR/QAR data analysis
• Flight Controls system design experience
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong customer service attitude
• Ability to work across functional teams and organizations
