In this role, you have the opportunity to make life better:
As a Systems Test Technician, you will design, develop, evaluate, and conduct integration, testing, and verification activities of (elements of) products with focus on mechanical, electrical and (embedded) software aspects and conclude this process with formal reporting.
You are responsible for:
Working with other members of the laboratory to develop test protocols, perform product testing on capnography devices and subcomponents, and generate reports that meet quality system requirements.
Perform component-level troubleshooting of field returns.
Assist in the design and development of appropriate test setups, fixtures and jigs to meet the purpose of the requested test.
Calibrate, maintain, and continuously improve custom test systems and equipment in the laboratory.
Handling various types of gases (anesthetics)
Continuously improve the operation and efficiency of the laboratory and assist in its organization.
You are a part of:
The global Hardware Test Engineering Organization within the Hospital Patient Monitoring business is a talented, cross-functional team that works towards providing evidence of safe and reliable products/solutions.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following:
A technical degree in a practical engineering related field - electronics or mechanical
Strong technical knowledge and skills in engineering disciplines (e.g., soldering, assembly)
Experience in product testing for electronic devices, preferably medical electrical devices
Experience with TSI Certifier or other flow sensors a plus
Experience handling or testing optical devices and a basic understanding of engineering optics is preferred.
Experience working with different types of gases (anesthetics) is a plus.
Knowledge of professional software applications such as SAP, LabView, and Solidworks.
Ability to multi-task.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
