Taco Slingers and Prep Cooks Needed! Job at El Jefe Taco Bar
El Jefe Taco Joint is a small, fast casual restaurant that serves a menu focused primarily on tacos, burritos, and Mexican style appetizers. We are a growing small business with a strong emphasis on customer service, consistency, and efficiency with producing a large number of orders in a short amount of time.
We are currently seeking kitchen team members at El Jefe Taco Joint capable of completing the following tasks:
Preparing a variety of food
Able to lift 50+ lbs
Able to work well during busy rushes, high pressure, and prepare things quickly
Able to take criticism and direction from kitchen manager or leads
Following standard portion sizes, cooking methods, recipes, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food products at line stations.
Portioning food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
Maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation.
Handling, storing and rotating all products properly.
Opening and closing the kitchen properly
Performing other related duties as assigned by the Chef/Kitchen Manager or shift manager.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 6 months of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
Must be able to work in a small team setting both individually and cooperatively.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
