Position Opportunity
Martin is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their expanding Human Resources team. We are looking for someone that is a self-starter with a passion for excellence and innovative talent solutions in a fast-paced environment. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for executing recruitment strategy and working with all Martin locations to achieve best-in-class talent for a dynamic and nimble workforce. This position is located at our corporate office in Arlington, Texas, and will occasionally travel for recruiting events and training. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work in harmony with all leadership teams and report to the Human Resources Director.
Primary Responsibilities
- Act as a champion of the Martin culture and ensure the recruitment process fully supports and emphasizes the culture.
- Serve as the primary talent acquisition resource to plant leadership teams to provide coaching regarding recruitment and retention strategies, interviewing practices and labor strategy.
- Lead full cycle recruiting process (posting, sourcing, recruiting, interviewing & hiring).
- Assist with coordination of successful new hire orientation including education on company culture, how the business works, and policies/procedures that guide the daily lifestyle of our employees.
- Ability to provide recruitment-related training to field leadership teams in a 1:1 and classroom setting.
- Build and maintain relationships with various college programs specific to the industry
- Attend college recruiting fairs biannually; coordinate event details and recruiting strategy, materials & supplies needed
- Partner with HR Generalists in executing offers & coordination of pre-employment process; maintain flow of communication with candidates
- Track various data points within the full cycle recruiting process and offer innovative strategies to enhance the overall employee experience.
- Assist the HR team in the evaluation of current processes & systems for ATS management and process improvement.
- Travel to field sites and host interviews with management and candidates as needed. This position will travel upwards of 30% of the time in the field.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience
- Prior experience recruiting a heavy volume of manufacturing or industrial roles
- Knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements applicable to talent acquisition practices
- Demonstrated ability to successfully recruit for a broad and diverse range of positions
- Must demonstrate a strong sense of unbiased judgment and sound recruiting skillset
- Ability to work independently and efficiently as well as with limited instruction
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and solve practical problems with analytical nature
- Prior experience using UKG or related HRIS software a plus
- Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task
- Driven, self-starter that can own a project to completion
