Tasting Room Lead Position - $500 Signing Bonus

Compensation:

$20/hr wage + excellent tips + commissions structure on wine club memberships sold.

$500 sign on bonus – paid after completion of 6 months of successful work in the tasting room pending performance evaluation.

This is a Benefited Full-Time Position – Medical, Dental, Vision & 401k

Who we are looking for:

- This position is for a full-time employee (32+ hours a week) who’s scheduled days would be Thursday-Sunday from 10:30am-6:30pm. Weekend availability is mandatory.

- We are looking for someone who has hospitality experience. i.e. has worked in restaurants, hotels, breweries and of course wineries. Someone who is passionate about wine and thrives on providing excellent customer service and supporting an amazing brand.

- The ability to be a team leader alongside the General Manager and Tasting Room Manager.

- The desire to be a wine educator and Santa Barbara County ambassador. The ultimate goal is to provide a memorable experience and develop wonderful relationships with the guests who come to visit us.

- The inherent ability to be a strong team member. Someone who actively wants to work to build a strong team and be a leader therein.

- Someone who genuinely loves the world of wine and who wants to become engaged with it, growing- their own knowledge daily and everyone they come in contact with at our tasting room.

Daily skills needed:

- Be responsible for opening/closing duties of the tasting room.

- Be a strong personality and a welcoming host. Driving relationships with our team members and our guests.

- Money Handling/Reporting – Be able to open or close our tasting room and POS system daily and report correctly and efficiently daily numbers.

- Experience with POS systems. Is comfortable with using technological interfaces on a daily basis.

- A Hospitality Professional – Someone who understands wine service, food service and a customer’s needs. This individual searches out ways to make a memorable experience with our guests and helps our team so much in doing so. Lead by example.

- A strong sales ethic – The ability to upsell customers on wines purchased, wine club memberships and other tasting room offerings.

- A solid sense of humor is a plus. While we work we also like to have a good time.

Other Qualifications:

- Be able to lift 50lbs. We move a lot of wine. Obviously.

- All necessary movements – bending, stooping, standing, twisting, crouching, planking.

- Food Handler’s Certificate and Responsible Beverage Training Certificate preferred but if not, we can get you there.
