Pine Haven is a private, non-profit, non-sectarian, intensive residential facility
that cares for boys with behavioral, educational or emotional challenges. Established in 1963, Pine Haven is located on 100 acres in Allenstown, NH and welcomes boys ages 6 to 15.
Job Description:
- instructs students, individually or in a small group, according to the students' identified needs and learning styles, their IEP's and State requirements
- participates in the students' behavior program as set forth in their Treatment Plan attends/participates in required meetings and workshops
- performs all duties and responsibilities in a professional manner, using good judgment and acting in the best interest of the students' and their families
- is aware and meets the requirements of confidentiality
Examples of Work
- has a class of up to eight (8) students with individual and small group instruction
- uses appropriate and approved behavior and classroom management techniques within the classroom, to maintain control and provide an atmosphere conducive to learning
- prepares reports on the students' progress (e.g. treatment team meetings, report cards, IEP progress, etc.)
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- New Hampshire Teacher Certification (with an endorsement in General Special Education (1900), Specific Learning Disabilities (1907) and/or Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities (1855) is preferred)

Pay: $49,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
