Edward Jones is looking for an individual to help lead innovation in the Software Delivery and Tools area that is responsible for supporting and enhancing the Developer Experience. This person will have the dual responsibilities for product delivery and for leadership of the Tech Testing Environments Team. What you’ll do… As a Team Leader, you will lead the effort to implement, configure, enhance, and support testing environments using leading-edge technologies. In this role, you will work closely with application teams, enterprise architects, business leaders, product owners, and vendors focused on environment availability while developing and implementing strategies for future environments in support of and in alignment with firm priorities. Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Develop, implement, and execute change management, incident management, monitoring, and reporting processes in support of 24X5 environment availability
- Management of activities related to the implementation and delivery of products, enhancements, and streamlining of processes
- Design, develop, deliver next generation test environments
- Build strong partnerships and relationships with Product Teams, Quality Assurance, and infrastructure teams
- Develop and implement environmental improvements and efficiencies for the benefit of environment users contributing to the delivery of quality solutions in a timely manner
- Ensure effective maintenance of test environment infrastructure components while maintaining environment availability
People leadership:
- Continuously develop/execute team process improvements
- Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring of associates
- Continuously identify team resource needs
- Establish and maintain effective communication and relationships across teams
- Lead by example, demonstrating firm values
- Influence stakeholders related to environment strategies
- Manage and maintain effective relationships with external vendors
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or related work experience
- Environmental experience and knowledge including Windows, Linux, Servers, Workstations, WebLogic, Kubernetes, Security, Network, etc.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to Technology with at least 3 years in a leadership role (mentoring associates, lead analyst, project leader, etc.)
- Exposure to agile and product management practices
- Understanding of agile software development methodologies and processes within IS (change management, QA, Project Life Cycle, etc.)
- Knowledge of developer tools and their interactions, infrastructure dependencies, system controls, monitoring etc.
