Automation Engineer General

Job Summary:

Our client in Dearborn, MI is looking for an Automation Engineer General. This is a contract position.

Position Duties:

• Lead technical reviews of suppliers’ designs during development phase of xEV comodities (e.g. traction inverter, DC/DC converter, charger, HV battery control) electronic designs’ layouts as well as issue resolutions to ensure functionality and EMC compliance.
• Lead development of EMC compliant electronic design guidelines for future designs.
• Lead development of EMC solutions and test procedures unique to xEV specific components.

Basics:

• MS in Electrical Engineering with concentration in electromagnetics and/or EMC.
• Minimum of 8 years OEM / Tier-1 working experience in transportation, electronics, or power generation industries.
• In-depth knowledge of EMC theory, analysis, measurement, and debugging methods.
• Extensive design & development knowledge in analog/digital mix circuit design.
• Experience in using test equipment such as EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong experience in team leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of EMC theory, analysis, measurement, and debugging methods.
• Extensive design & development knowledge in analog/digital mix circuit design.
• Experience in using test equipment such as EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong experience in team leadership.

Preferred:

• Experience in power electronics circuit design and development.
• Experience in automotive EMI/EMC standards.
