Position Summary

You will be will be responsible for acting as the regional expert and champion for Citrus Fiber within the region for our commercial team with our distributors, direct accounts and growth partners. You will define, articulate and convey to customers, our sales reps, and to our distribution partners and back to platform the value propositions for Citrus Fiber in each application segment, know the MLA’s, the challenges to overcome and the pathway required for success – coordinator works with tech service managers supporting distributors for information. You will be the go-to person in region for NUTRAVA and be the clear person driving and championing NUTRAVA success in region.

This role can be located anywhere within the US as long as you are close to a major airport.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strategic focus on near term, medium term and long term and refine focus with agility
  • Know of opportunities progressing, see that they are entering forecast as appropriate, see that supply chain is seeing this and preparing as needed.
  • Drive to deliver/ exceed the regional sales targets for NUTRAVA in the OPB and drive the opportunity pipeline and conversion rate to deliver the POR ambition – metrics set and defined each year for each region.
  • Collect and manage opportunity pipeline to a priority list, top 10 direct and top 10 through distribution within region
  • Actively support and drive strong Distribution channel success with NUTRAVA
  • Ensure clear expectations / targets of pipeline, hit rate, and sales volume with distribution partners and transparency around opportunity pipeline
  • Conduct technical training in the region for new and existing distributors to ensure they are becoming proficient and effective at targeting and value selling
  • Articulate the needs from the region to the platform of what is needed to win including targeting adjustments, further product differentiation or barrier removal
  • Articulate what is needed in terms of sales collateral to win with CF marketing and product manager.
  • Articulate what is needed in terms of technical data and knowledge to win in specific applications vs MLAs
  • Responsoble for the Regional Marketing Roadmap Execution.
  • Be aware of the GTI project pipeline and ensure as appropriate the projects for your region have clear targets of customer need and have clear, relevant value propositions for driving wins. Work this with the product manager.
  • Reporting / Sharing / Learning / Strategizing / Making Decisions:
  • At least monthly meetings 1:1 with the product manager.
  • Prepare a quarterly report to include; Top 10 opportunities direct and to 10 through distribution with commentary, Review won and lost opportunities for insights, summarize findings and make recommendations on a quarterly basis back to CF product management, Analysis on closed lost opportunities with clear VOC on barriers and what could be done to improve hit rate by application space in region, Insights and perspective on pricing vs MLAs and value elements to share back with the platform, Quarterly meeting with your counterpart in other regions learnings and CF product management, to share what is working and what needs improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Food Science or similar technical degree and experience interfacing with R&D.
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience with specialty value added food ingredients experience preferred.
  • Experience in fibers, functional ingredients, hydrocolloids or texturants is a plus
  • Proactively identify customer technical opportunities and solutions
  • Evaluate customer needs, understand market drivers and forces, and work with sales tech service leadership to execute programs that build company business and value.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be self-confident, goal oriented, highly motivated for development of self and company

Must be located in the US near a major airport and willing to travel as needed.
